I’ve been on a beach vacation with my family for 4 days, and I’ve already adapted to my new schedule. Beach walks, yoga, swimming, reading…feels like I’ve been doing this my whole life. Just goes to show how much your environment influences your (or at least my) life. Note to self: put serious thought intoContinue reading “Environment”

Choosing where to live
My apartment lease expires at the end of March and I’m not sure where I’m going to live after that. I used my beach walk this morning (#islandlife) as an opportunity to think about where I should go, and more importantly, to think about thinking about where I should go. The framework I drafted boiledContinue reading “Choosing where to live”
Quick thoughts
I’ve been eating a lot of junk and have compensated with excessive physical activity. I know you’re not supposed to do that, but it makes me feel better about myself… Speaking of excess exercise, I hurt my lower back in the gym. Hoping to stretch it out and fully recover in a couple of days.Continue reading “Quick thoughts”
Vacation
After several flight delays we made it to the beach. It is nice here – 80 degrees and sunny every day. I assume most people view vacation as a break from their normal life. I don’t have a job, so I’m not really vacating anything. It makes me wonder how I’m supposed to approach thisContinue reading “Vacation”
Running it back
Flight was cancelled yesterday, trying again today! Also realized it is time to start thinking about 2022 goals…yikes. Sounds like an activity for the beach.
Writing Daily
I’m en route to the airport and am struggling to think of things to write about. This begs the question – what am I trying to accomplish with my daily blogging? I enjoy the act of writing and the resultant clarification of thought, but I would receive the same benefit from writing in a privateContinue reading “Writing Daily”
Founder Break Up
He was always there for me. He thoughtfully considered my dumb ideas. He was my sounding board. It was only 3 days…but they were magical. In all seriousness it was a great change of pace getting to work with a partner, however brief (for context: we found each other via a founder match program andContinue reading “Founder Break Up”
Been in NYC for too Long
I arrived at my parents house in the suburbs last night. I went for a walk this morning and couldn’t help but think that my surroundings were exquisitely beautiful and serene. It is a nice town…but I think I’ve lived in NYC for too long…
Belief in the Mission
I’m now working on GoodsConnection.com with a potential co-founder (he was working on the project solo before I joined). In its current form the site seeks to be the best place on the web for consumer product research (i.e. where you go before making purchasing decisions). When I buy a ~thing~ I usually just googleContinue reading “Belief in the Mission”
Mish Mash
Started working with a co-founder. It’s been a while since I worked with someone else…time to resurrect my empathy. I usually put my phone on do not disturb and stick it in a drawer during work blocks. I recently began shutting it off completely and am already seeing fewer phone interruptions. Friction > willpower. ReadingContinue reading “Mish Mash”
