Nomading

I’m revisiting my future, geographical plans as my apartment lease expiration nears (end March). My first nomad stint will only last 6 weeks: April 1 – May 15 (the end date set by my brother’s graduation). My primary goal during this period will be company building, so I want to put myself in an environment that supports that endeavor. Consequently I am dropping my previous framework and am now using the following ranked metrics to determine my location(s):

1. Conduciveness to focus (Disqualified: NYC, living with my parents)
2. Entrepreneurial community (I have a lot to learn)
3. Existing relationships (I would like to have at least 1 friend ahead of time)
4. Proximity to outdoor activity (I would love to hike/surf/ski when taking work breaks)

Some ideas based on these metrics:

• The bay area…
• Austin
• Miami
• Denver

Very open to suggestions!

*I did not consider Boston as there is a decent probability I live there in the future
