I think there is a strong correlation between the quantity (and quality) of stuff I am able to produce in a given day and my feeling of satisfaction at the end of that day. What do I mean by produce?
A blog post is production. Writing code is production. Researching a topic (including thoughtful discussions with people) and taking notes on it is production. Selling a bag of nuts is production. Even posting an Instagram is production.
Trading the market is not production. Reading a book is not production. Exercise is not production. Watching YouTube videos or listening to podcasts is not production. I think these are all great activities, they just aren’t what I mean by production.
Anyways I think I’ve enjoyed blogging so much because every time I publish a post, it is a small win on the production front for that day. And production is a habit just like any other – it is more about consistency than quality.
So this was basically a roundabout way of saying that I should return to blogging daily.
