updates

Apologies for the radio silence…I have no excuses. But I do have some updates.

Recipeeper caught a whiff of virality on Reddit. We had ~10k people visit the site in 2 days, and Reddit users actively commented on the post with helpful feedback. We have been hacking away to implement a lot of the features and fixes that were mentioned. It will be interesting to see what our traffic looks like in a week or 2 – I think a great result would be 50 unique visits per day. If we can achieve that we will probably shift our focus to growth and start to think about potential business models.

I had my B school interview last week and will find out if I was accepted in the next 7 days or so 🤞. If I get in (and even if I don’t), I will rapidly find an apartment. (Mom and dad: as much as I love staying with you, surprisingly, “I live with my parents in the suburbs” isn’t the best opener on Hinge).

Our Manly Nuts progress has slowed, but we have a plan. We changed up the website and are in the process of designing a new bag. No tik toks yet, but they are coming.

The stock market is down 16.5% in 2022. I kind of took my eye off markets this past week…great timing lol. When I try to game out the different scenarios (yes, I am the sole user of macrofade), my outlook for stocks is still pretty negative, even from these lower levels.

Finally, I am more convinced than ever that working with a partner/partners on a project or business is a dramatically better approach than working alone. So if anyone ever wants to spitball ideas or talk about one of yours, you have my number.
