I know I’ve said this before, but I think momentum is the single most important variable during the early stages of any project. Given the odds at t=0 of a project “succeeding” are extremely low, the team cannot rely upon dreams of victory to consistently propel them forward. Visible progress, however seemingly miniscule, is the fuel that keeps the engine spinning. In other words, momentum begets momentum. This virtuous flywheel is critical.
