Recently, I have entertained the prospect of working on a couple of new side projects (some with other people, which is great). My goal for the year is to start a business. Sometimes businesses are born from side projects, but that seems to happen serendipitously vs by executing a plan.
I am working on one idea that is explicitly meant to be a startup business, so there is no ambiguity around the goal/purpose of what we are doing. Maybe it makes sense to define a goal for each side project, and what scenario would cause me/us to put additional effort into the project and try to convert it to a business?
